Terms of Use
Last updated · 14 October 2026
The terms for using Papercove: the licence, the free version and Pro, subscriptions, what the AI can and can't do, and our liability.
Who are these terms with?
These terms are between you and Nguyen Trong Phu, the developer of Papercove (“we”).
Apple's standard licence agreement (EULA) also applies. These terms add to it for Papercove. By using the app, you accept both.
How may I use the app?
- Use Papercove on Apple devices you own or control, for personal or work documents.
- Only add documents you're allowed to keep and read.
- Don't copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
What do the free version and Pro include?
The free version keeps up to 10 documents and includes 15 questions and summaries a month. New ones arrive on the 1st of each month, by your device's clock.
Pro adds unlimited documents, unlimited questions and summaries, asking a whole folder at once, search by meaning, and a dates & amounts table for a folder with CSV.
Reading, search, export and backup stay free.
On devices that can't run the AI, there's no document limit and nothing to buy.
How do subscriptions and payment work?
Apple sells Pro through the App Store and charges your Apple Account.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically. Your account is charged within 24 hours before each period ends.
- To stop renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends: Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
- The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
- Lifetime is a single purchase. It includes every Pro feature of this app, plus future updates.
- Family Sharing isn't available for Pro.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
When Pro ends, all your documents stay. You can read, search, export and back them up. You can add new ones once you have 10 or fewer.
What can the AI do, and where does it fall short?
Papercove answers from your documents and shows the source page. Answers can still be wrong or incomplete, so check the source page.
- Answers and summaries aren't medical, legal, financial or tax advice. Ask a professional before you act on something important.
- Text recognition can misread small, blurred or unusual print. It doesn't read handwriting.
- The AI runs on your device, so it's smaller than large cloud AI models. It isn't a replacement for them.
Who owns my documents?
You do. We don't get a copy of your documents or any rights to them.
You're responsible for keeping a backup. We can't restore documents from a lost or broken device.
What about the AI models and other apps?
The AI models are made by Google and downloaded from Hugging Face under their makers' licences. Don't use them for anything those licences forbid.
Sending to nearby devices works with LocalSend, an independent open-source app. We aren't responsible for other apps or devices.
What is your liability?
Papercove is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect damage, lost data or decisions based on an AI answer.
Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.
Which law applies, and what if these terms change?
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Consumer protection rules in your country still apply where they give you more rights.
When the terms change, we update this page and the date at the top. Questions: ferro.cg.co@gmail.com.
